Awning Fabrics

We use only high quality awning fabrics.

They all are treated for water and mildew resistant and all have about the same life span.

Just about every color imaginable is available in solids and stripe patterns.

Here is a list of just a few of the awning fabrics that we use.

Sunbrella ©

Sunbrella is the most common awning fabric that we use today.  There are nearly 200 solids and stripe patterns to choose from.

Sunbrella is a 9.5 oz. per square yard solution dyed woven acrylic and has the same color or pattern on both sides of the fabric.  The fabric comes about 46" wide.  Most solid colors are also available 60" wide.

Calabana Cloth

Calabana Cloth may be discontinued and stock is limited to 8 solid colors only.  It is a 15 oz. per square yard vinyl top-coated 100% cotton duck fabric.  The color or pattern is only on the top side of the fabric.  The under side has a "pearl gray" color.  It comes about 30" wide.

Gulf Stream

Gulf Stream was discontinued in June 2015. There were about 20 solids and stripe colors to choose from.  It was a 13.8 oz. per square yard acrylic top-coated 50% polyester / 50% cotton duck fabric.  The color or pattern was only on the top side of the fabric.  The under side has a "pearl gray" color.  The fabric comes about 31" wide.

Vinyl Coated Polyesters

There are a number of vinyl coated polyester fabrics that we use.  Most have a "plastic look" and are used primarily on welded frame awnings.  Some are used with high powered lights behind the awnings so they will glow at night, or what we call a "back-lit awning".

Nite-Lite and Precontraint 502 by Serge Ferrari are two of the vinyl coated polyester fabrics that we use.
